Dano Hutnik is the Executive chef at Dano's Heuriger on Seneca.

​

Born in Ukraine, Dano began as a ballet dancer in Vienna, Austria and performed for 15 years before pursuing a culinary career. 

​

He attended both the Cordon Bleu School in Paris, France, and the California Culinary Academy in San Fransisco to receive his degree, and then proceeded to work his way through the culinary world at varied establishments including the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara and The Sea Grill in Manhattan before opening Dano's in 1990 with his wife Karen.
