Peter Appelt graduated from Elmira Free Academy in 1991.  After high school, he attended the Culinary Institute of America then went on to work as Head Chef and Owner of the Hurricane Grill in Marathon, FL until 2003.

 

Appelt returned to New York to work at The Hill Top Inn as Executive Chef for a short period before he finally joined the team at Charlie's Cafe as Owner and Executive Chef in 2008.
